I've shared you in my chat/thread too for all of us doing the self care challenge this month! Such a serendipitous moment coming across you and this post this morning ✨🙏
It's taken time and patience to re-train my lizard-brain (the instinctual part that sees danger at every turn) to focus on gratitude, but I've come a long way. There are still moments when life seems overwhelmingly dismal or stressful, but having practiced my affirmations I can turn to them whenever I get that feeling of fear and shift my attention to an attitude of gratitude. Thank you for your work in spreading these powerful positive mindset strategies, Wendy! I appreciate YOU!
Thank you so much. I still get those moments too but when we know that we can shift out focus we can take back control for better feelings. I appreciate you too.
Great post! My daily gratitude is something I heard called futurecasting - Creating a picture of my ideal life in written words, using the two most powerful words in existence - I AM. I took it from Bob Proctor - starting with I AM so happy and grateful now that I AM... Then I record it, and play it back throughtout the day, whenever doubt starts to creep in and show its sorrowful face.
I love the idea of recording your own affirmations, I often recommend this. Futurecasting sounds great. I also like to focus on what I already have in my life that I'm grateful for. I think the combination is powerful. Oh, and I love Bob Proctor.
This is a timely read as we reach the gratitude day in my month of self care challenge. Thank you for writing this and sharing it with us all. Some incredible insights and really useful advice. 🙏
Thanks for the restack @Emily Male. Wishing you a wonderful day with lots to feel grateful for.
