In this law of attraction guide, I will give you easy-to-understand information and tips for you to put the law of attraction to work in your own life, starting today, to create a life you love.
The law of attraction is known as a Universal Law - It's one of those things that is always present, much in the same way that gravity is always present. It's just that this is not something we are all aware of.
I'm not a sciencey kind of person, but the way it was explained to me during my training was that it applied quantum physics. Yep, that's your lot for the science part.
In this post, I'm going to share what I consider, as a Law of Attraction Practitioner, the key important things you need to know about the law of attraction so that you can start using it effectively in your own life - Start manifesting the things you want.
This post is fairly long and in-depth. I encourage you to make notes as you read through about ideas that come up for you connected with your own life, and please feel free to ask questions and share your thoughts as you read through this guide.

The law of attraction gives you what you focus on, wanted or not
This is a big law of attraction saying, and I want to give you my take on it.
As a general rule, yes, this is true; whatever you put your attention on is what you draw into your life, whether you want it or not. However, there is a bit of a problem that many people get stuck on. Let me explain.
If you want to attract more money and you constantly focus on wanting more money, this suggests that because you focus on money, you will attract it. Wrong for most people.
Jenny wants money, but never feels like she has enough. Jenny's focus is on the lack of money. In this case, she's blocking money.
Alex worries about money and is focusing on it, giving it attention every day. When you worry about something, you attract the thing you don't want - In this case lack of money.
Henry focuses on having an abundance of money, but he believes that people like him never make it big and have lots of money.
SOLUTION: Focus on the things you want to attract into your life from a place of expectation and belief that they are already on their way, you deserve them and will show up.
Imagine booking a holiday. Once you've booked it, you totally expect to go on that holiday, you're excited about it, and when you think about it, you're imagining all the nice things you'll be doing. You might even imagine sunshine warming your body. This is the feeling you want to focus on.
What are your beliefs surrounding what you want to attract? If they don’t support you right now, reach out, and I can help change them.
Work on releasing any limiting beliefs and building new beliefs that support you - Affirmations, afformations, and EFT can all help with this.
Thoughts Become Things
Mike Dooley from The Secret famously said Thoughts Become Things. I am a big fan and think this is something to keep in mind. Our thoughts play a huge part in effectively using the law of attraction.
I’ve been asked so many times over the years if the law of attraction is just positive thinking, and whilst it does play a big part, it's not the whole picture.
I'll talk more about this a little further down.
What you need to do - Focus on keeping your thoughts positive, fill your mind with affirmations, tell yourself positive stories, and do whatever you can to keep your thoughts positive so that they support you in attracting the life you want.
The Three-Step Law of Attraction Process
I teach a 3-step law of attraction process. I will be writing more about each of these steps, and if you have any questions, please just ask in the comments below.
Step 1: Clarity
Step 2: Raise Your Vibrations
Step 3: Allow
Clarity - Get super clear about what you want. Sometimes this means focusing briefly on what you don't want.
Raise Your Vibration - Think of a chart where emotions like hate, anger and fear are at the bottom - LOW VIBRATIONS and emotions like Happiness, love, and appreciation are at the top of the list - HIGH VIBRATIONS
You always want to be pushing your vibrations to a high level. Doing things you really enjoy, focusing on gratitude and affirmations all help with this.
Do things you enjoy - Focus on gratitude and fill your mind with positive messages to raise your vibrations.
Allow - Most of us are really good at blocking the law of attraction. The biggest way we do this is by not believing things are possible. We collect all kinds of beliefs from the moment we are born.
Some beliefs are useful to us and others are not; these are limiting beliefs that block us from manifesting the things we want.
Questioning beliefs, EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), and affirmations are all good ways of allowing.

There are 5 things that the law of attraction responds to, and they all come back to your feelings.
Your feelings indicate your vibrations, and the law of attraction can ONLY draw to you that which you are a vibrational match for.

Your beliefs
The things you say
The things you do
Pay attention to them all. They all matter. Keep them all as positive as you can.
Your feelings matter the most, but all the other things create a feeling.
Chill out and don't get hung up on doing everything right
Okay, so this is a bit of a weird one, but it's advice I give out in responses to questions about the law of attraction all the time.
People will often come to me really stressed out and say things like "I keep trying to keep my thoughts positive and focus on the things I want to attract..."
I get it, but the problem is, in trying to get it all right and stay positive all the time, you’re often just stressing yourself out, and that is a sure way to lower your vibrations and block what you want.
Chill out and do something you enjoy
Chill out and go and do something you enjoy. You've let the Universe know what you want. Get out of the way and let it come to you.
Think of the law of attraction as a powerful helping hand, NOT a magic wand
The law of attraction certainly can feel like magic, but I want to encourage you to think of the law of attraction as a helping hand - A very powerful helping hand.
I've had far too many people contact me and say things like this… "I want to manifest a successful business. I do affirmations, I created a vision board, and I visualise it just the way I want it, but nothing's showing up. I then ask them what else they are doing to create a successful business, and the answer is very little.
In this case, you need to be actively doing practical tasks to build your business and use the law of attraction to HELP manifest the business you want.
The bottom line is that you can't sit around doing affirmations, etc, all day and expect the business to miraculously create itself and run itself.
That being said, there are definitely times when all you can do is focus on the outcome you want, you can't do anything practical, you just have to believe and focus.
Get the law of attraction working effectively for you
I hope I've given you a lot to think about in this post, as well as some things you can start using in your life right now.
Focus on what you want
Keep your thoughts, feelings, beliefs, the things you say and the things you do as positive as you can
Remember the 3-step law of attraction process - Clarity, raising your vibrations and allowing
Chill out, enjoy life now and do things that feel good - read a book, go dancing, have a bath, play...
Think of the law of attraction as a powerful helping hand
One final piece of advice is this: Be patient, you're probably making some pretty huge mindset changes. But know this. You don’t need everything to be perfect to manifest what you want.
Enjoy experimenting with using the law of attraction, and make it fun rather than hard work.
Create a Law of Attraction Lifestyle
Now that you know the law of attraction is always working in your life, I want to encourage you to create a law of attraction lifestyle.
Remember that this is never about getting everything right or being positive all the time. It's about making small changes to your thoughts, feelings, beliefs, the things you say and the things you do and doing it consistently so that it becomes a way of life for you.
Below are some things to focus on the help build a positive law of attraction lifestyle for manifesting the life you want.
Law of Attraction and Affirmations
Affirmations are positive statements that support you. As I mentioned earlier, thoughts become things, so it's super helpful to fill your mind with positive messages that will help you manifest the life you want.
I share loads of affirmation ideas in my newsletters. You can read my Affirmations guide for practical tips for effectively using and creating affirmations that support you.
Whenever you catch yourself with low and unhelpful thoughts filling your mind, swap them for better-feeling thoughts.
If affirmations feel like a lie, focus on something better feeling without it being a huge leap for you. Make them more believable for you right now and gradually move them closer to your ideals. You can also use EFT to help release resistance and raise your vibrations.

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT is an incredibly powerful technique to help you effectively use the law of attraction.
There's a saying that if you're not ALLOWING the things you want, then you're RESISTING IT. EFT helps you to let go of low emotions and limiting beliefs so that you can allow the things you want more.

Law of Attraction and Gratitude
Gratitude is your law of attraction superpower. If you only change one thing in your life, make it to focus on gratitude. It's so incredibly powerful.
When you focus on gratitude, you become more and more of a match for attracting more to be grateful for.
Try any of these ideas…
Focus on gratitude throughout the day.
When you experience anything you like, focus on gratitude for the experience
Create an ongoing gratitude list for things that you’re always grateful for
Keep a daily gratitude journal and commit to adding 3 things that you’re grateful for, specific to that day
So a gratitude blast - use your senses. Something that you’re grateful for that you can smell, see, hear, taste and feel. This is great for bringing you into the present moment
