What is self-improvement?
It’s anything that improves you or your life.
1. Who do you want to be and what do you want?
Why is this question so important for you to answer? If you don’t get clear about who you want to be and the life you want to live, how can you improve in any meaningful way?
I encourage you to make two lists.
Anything that is about you. This could be something you want to learn, a personality trait you want to develop, such as… Be fun-loving, charismatic, kind, generous, confident… Try starting with the words I am…
Anything about the life you want. This could be business success, travelling, building yourself a tiny house, running a marathon, raising wonderful kids and being a great role model… Get really clear about what you actually want your life to look like. It’s a good idea to imagine what your daily life might look like.
2. Plan and take action - Your self-improvement focus areas
Based on the lists you made in step one, base your self-improvement work on becoming the person you want to be and achieving the life you want.
Plan and take action.
3. Work on your mindset
Your mindset will either support you or block you. Working on your mindset is just as important as taking physical action to achieve the life you want.
You can use things like affirmations, EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques and Hypnosis Audios to help you build a positive mindset that supports you.
