Hi Friends.
I’m struggling this morning. When I decided to start sharing these happy weight posts, I did so, knowing I needed to be honest and real with everyone who shows up here to read.
Yes, I’m a Mindset Coach. Yes, I have loads of experience and skills, but the reality is that I’m a real person and I need to show the same love and support to myself as I would anyone I work with.
It’s been a super tiring few days, physically, mentally and emotionally.
Today I’m home with no time schedule.
I’m super tired and by 10 am I’d already had a bag of crisps. Yes, that was breakfast.
What my unhelpful mind is willing me to do is, eat. Eat all the stuff that I know I need to be mindful about. Chocolate, lots of it, biscuits, crisps… Pretty much anything.
But, I know this version of me well and I’m not too keen on her. She feels out of control, unhappy and unhealthy.
Instead, here I am showing up and sharing my day with you. Please say “Hi” and let me know you’re here with me.
I want to share my thought process with you and how I’m focusing on shifting my mindset today.
Where it started…
Okay, I need to fight this!
I know this battle!
What if it’s not a fight or a battle? - They’re hard work.
What if I need to do a reframe of what’s going on?
Yes, that already feels better.
What if I need to give myself time to rest today?
What if I focus on drinking to hydrate myself properly?
What if I write about what’s happening to help deal with the day more mindfully?
What if I treat myself to nice fruit and create a lovely colourful platter?
I’m very much about adding healthier things that I can enjoy rather than focusing on what I can’t have.
The shift has already started. I’m focusing on better-feeling thoughts. Thoughts of what I can enjoy and add to my day rather than the old fight to avoid things.
By the way, I plan to have a sweet treat today. I have a mint, chocolate ice cream in the freezer.
I’m not planning on cutting out anything that I enjoy eating. But I am being deliberate and mindful about what I eat and when.
Today’s Affirmations
I plan my day mindfully and deliberately, in a way that supports me.
I give myself permission to relax and reset my body.
I focus on what I can add to my day with love and kindness.
Today’s Afformation: Why do I love and respect my body?
I paused from writing to quiet my mind and ask - What does my body need today?
The word that instantly came to mind for me was thank you.
So that’s what I’m going to tap on today.

EFT - Thanks
My EFT session is super simple today.
Tapping the side of my hand, this is my set-up phrase. I’m tapping today to give thanks to my body. I love and respect you and I ask for you to support me on this journey to my happy weight and to help me to live a healthier life. Thank you.
Then at each of the tapping points I simply repeated the word “Thank you”
EFT POINTS I USED TODAY
Top of the head - Forehead - Eyebrow - Side of the eye - Under the eye - Tip of the nose - Under the nose - Under the mouth - collarbone - Tapping my wrists together - the side of the hand.
I finished this session by placing my hands in the heart-healing position (shown below).
I closed my eyes, relaxed back into my seat and spent a couple of minutes focusing on my breathing.
My word of the day is gentle
I intend to be gentle with myself today.
Gentle and supportive thoughts.
Gentle and supportive movement.
Gentle and supportive rest.
Gentle and supportive eating.
