I’m going to say that bit again in a slightly different way.
If you want to feel more supported it MUST start with you!
You MUST be willing to allow yourself to be supported - Sounds obvious right? Well, no. Loads of us block this, including myself at times.
Many people block support and the feeling of being supported when there is a lot of support in reality.
This may or may not be true for you but it’s important to remove blocks that may be present.
Even if you think I’m not talking about you, I highly recommend doing these mindset and energy exercises anyway. Often we block things subconsciously.
The power of words
I was reminded of this quite recently. I was often thinking of myself as a strong, independent woman.
And I was reminded that to the universe, this suggests that I can do everything on my own!
This isn’t a match for allowing myself to be supported or feel supported.
I’m now embracing this new affirmation: I’m a Phenomenal Woman
Other affirmations you can try.
It’s safe to be supported
I allow support from others
The Universe supports me
My Angels support me
I’m grateful for all the support I receive
I am supported
Pay attention and look for what you want!
If you’re looking for something you are more likely to find it. Wanted or not!
So, look for what you want.
As you go through your day, really watch out for moments where you are supported.
Make sure you acknowledge it and be grateful for it.
You can even go as far as making an ongoing list of when you are supported.
This can be something as simple as someone opening a door for you or someone asking how you are.
If you believe in God or Angels, remind yourself that you are supported.
Remind yourself that the Universe has the power to support you - As long as you don’t block it.
When you focus on the Universe or a being that you can’t see, you also take away the pressure for specific people to support you.
Visualize yourself being supported the way you want. How would you feel if you were supported?
Now, let’s say that you visualize your kids helping you with housework and then the reality is that they don’t. DON’T then dive into the thought spiral of “Well, that didn’t work. They never help me!”
Instead, let them know in a light way (don’t rant) that you want some help and keep up with your visualizing.
Get a vibe of “Ooh, that would be nice” rather than “I never get any help.”
Be playful with your thoughts and energy.
Use your words wisely so that they support you.
