End of Month Review, Goals And Gratitude
I hope you have a lot to celebrate and a lot to look forward to.
Oh my goodness, I had a bit of a brain malfunction this week. If this is the second time you’re receiving this newsletter, please accept my sincere apologies.
Anyway, that aside, let’s do this. This is the last newsletter of the month, take what you want and leave the rest to other people.
I love the end of a month and the start of a new month. I love setting my goals and reviewing where I’m at, do you?
If you’re not a massive goal-setting fan, please be assured there’s more to this post, so please keep reading. I’m also going to share a little about my Happy Weight Zone Goal at the end of the newsletter if that’s of interest to you.
Whether you’re like me and love to write everything down or prefer to do things in your head, I encourage you to take some time to review how the month has been for you.
What’s gone well and also what’s not gone the way you wanted.
Celebrate what’s gone well and all achievements, even the tiny ones.
If you’ve had things that haven’t gone the way you wanted, do you know what went wrong?
When I don’t achieve the things I want or things don’t go the way I want, I start by reviewing these three things.
Have I taken on too much?
Am I clear about what I want?
Are my beliefs a match for what I want?
Is my general mindset a match for what I want?
I don’t know about you but I can only deal with so much before I start getting overwhelmed and then less actually gets done.
Some people seem to thrive when they have a million things to do. I’m not one of those people.
If you think it could be a belief or mindset problem, feel free to leave a comment explaining what’s going on and I am happy to give you some tips.
Let’s talk about goals
And remember that a goal is anything that you want to achieve.
Review your progress
If you have ongoing goals, review your progress.
I like to set yearly goals and then break them down into smaller monthly goals. If you haven’t read it yet, read my Yearly, Quarterly and Months Goals Plan
I encourage you to see all progress as a win, even if you haven’t made as much progress as you would have liked.
If you haven’t made as much progress as you expected or wanted, can you work out why?
A few reasons could be…
You were unrealistic about what you could achieve in a month
Life got the way and you didn’t have as much time to commit to your goal as you expected. This happens and sometimes we have no choice but to roll with it. Sometimes though, you’re allowing life to take over instead of setting boundaries and saying “NO” more so that you do have time to work on your goals.
Your goal isn’t important enough to you
You simply didn’t put enough effort in. Ask, why not?
You came up against a block - Mindset or real.
Drop me a message if you need any help releasing mindset blocks, etc.
Before we move onto March Goal setting, I want to remind you that we’re moving into the last month of the first quarter.
If you’re following my Yearly, quarterly and monthly plan, take the time to review what you still need to achieve in March to get to your quarter-year goals.
