I always have mixed feelings about New Year’s Eve. My family always want to celebrate together. To be honest, I’d rather get my PJs on watch a good film and plan out my goals for the year.
Don’t get me wrong. I love my family. I’m just done with all the fuss by this stage and I’m ready to get started with the new year.
Anyway, as I normally do each year. I’ll suck it up, go and celebrate because I do love them to bits and for the most part, I know I’ll enjoy it.
Are you a New Year’s Eve party person or would you rather snuggle up on the sofa watching a film?
Anyway, are you all set with your 2024 goals? If you haven’t read it yet, pop and read the 2024 Goals: Yearly, Quarterly and January I sent out a few days ago.
Goal nerd alert. I’m so excited that tomorrow is the start of a new year, a new quarter, a new month and a new week.
By the way, if you’re reading this and it’s not the start of the year, month, week.. don’t wait to get started with your goals.
Never wait for specific times to set goals.

New Year’s Resolutions or Routines?
I’m not a fan of setting New Year's resolutions. For years I’d enthusiastically declare them to anyone who would listen and by the end of January they would be a distant memory. Can you relate?
The problem is usually that there’s no real thought or plan behind them.
I prefer to set Goals - Clear, measurable goals and then work out what I need to do to achieve them.
My word for this year is consistency.
I find that most goals are achieved by consistently doing the things that are needed repeatedly.
Instead of having a daily, or weekly to-do list, I like to build routines in my day-to-day life that help me achieve my goals.
When we make something a routine, we don’t need to think about it and do it automatically. Making decisions takes a lot of willpower and energy. So, take the decision-making part away and build automatic routines.
TIP: Don’t overload yourself with loads of new routines all at once. Instead, focus on some core routines to build even just one. Then you can work on another.
