Yesterday was a bit of an off day. I ate too much chocolate and generally didn’t eat deliberately or mindfully. It’s okay, It’s just part of one day, not my story.
So, today I wanted to start the day with some super helpful messages to help me stay focused and feel great about this happy weight journey.
I love affirmations and encourage you to keep filling your mind with messages that support you and help build positive beliefs.
The affirmations I’m sharing below have been inspired by a blog post I wrote a few years ago. I’ve made changes to focus on achieving my happy weight and healthier living.

WEIGHT LOSS AFFIRMATIONS AND NOTES ABOUT THE INDIVIDUAL AFFIRMATIONS
Tip: I encourage you to always understand the meaning behind any affirmation you use. What it means to you personally. I’ve shared below what the affirmations mean to me but they may mean different things to you. That’s okay.
1. I AM NOW THE KIND OF PERSON WHO CAN LIVE AT MY HAPPY WEIGHT
Whilst I lost a lot of weight several years ago, I’ve remained at around a stone overweight for years. I’ve been okay with this and haven’t focused too much on changing this. As long as I was feeling good and not putting weight on, I felt okay.
Now, I’m ready to finally get to my happy weight (between 9 stone 5 and 9 stone 10).
This affirmation says “Yes, this is me. This is who I am now!”
2. I MAKE DELIBERATE DECISIONS THAT HELP ME ACHIEVE MY HAPPY WEIGHT AND LIVE HEALTHIER
I rarely did anything deliberately when it came to food. I was on a kind of autopilot. This affirmation focuses my mind on making deliberate choices.
I know that when we’re trying to make changes in life, being deliberate is a must.
3. I AM MOVING CONSISTENTLY TO MY HAPPY WEIGHT NOW IN A HEALTHY WAY
For me, this affirmation is super powerful. I think there are so many unhealthy diets and so much advice that’s not healthy for me.
I don’t want to simply lose weight, I want to achieve my happy weight but just as importantly, if not more importantly, I want to be healthy.
4. HAPPY AND HEALTHY WEIGHT LOSS IS EASY FOR ME NOW
How many times have you said, heard or thought… “It’s so hard to lose weight!”??
If this is the story you’ve been telling yourself, then this is the time to change that particular story.
Happy and healthy weight loss is easy for me now.
5. HEALTHY AND HAPPY WEIGHT LOSS IS MY PRIORITY NOW
This is a big change of mindset for me. Over the past few years, it’s not been a priority. As long as I wasn’t putting on weight, I let life get in the way.
This affirmation is a great way to keep healthy and happy weight loss at the forefront of my mind and keep it a priority.
6. EVERY DAY I MAKE HEALTHY CHOICES THAT HELP ME ACHIEVE MY HAPPY WEIGHT
A healthy lifestyle and healthy weight loss come down to healthy choices, this affirmation helps to program my mind. It helps me stay focused on being healthy as I achieve my happy weight goal.
7. LOSING WEIGHT IN A HEALTHY WAY IS EASIER AND EASIER FOR ME
I want to move the focus away from that old belief that I held that losing weight is hard. It’s also a message we hear from other people a lot.
When I hear other people saying “It’s hard” I remind myself that this is not my truth now and refocus my attention on building healthier habits and achieving my happy weight.
8. I LOVE AND RESPECT MY BODY
I do. But when I overeat and don’t move my body enough, or don’t get enough sleep, I’m now showing respect to my body. This is a powerful reminder.
A question I like to ask myself is… How can I love and respect my body today?
9. I LOVE AND NOURISH MY BODY
Another reminder to love myself. When I nourish my body I feel so much better.
When I think about the food and drink I put in my body, I try to remember to ask “Will this nourish my body?”
Look, this doesn’t mean I never have things that aren’t great for my body, but on the whole, I’m now looking to fuel my body with food that nourishes me and helps me feel my best.
10. I AM PERFECTLY CAPABLE OF ACHIEVING MY HAPPY WEIGHT GOALS AND EVERY DAY IT GETS EASIER AND EASIER
I’m swapping out that voice in my head that says “I can’t do this”
I can do this. I’m perfectly capable of achieving my happy weight.
This affirmation reminds me that I can do this.
