It’s time. It’s the last Empowerment Newsletter of January and that means it’s time for a review and time to set our February goals.
It’s a long newsletter so grab a cuppa if you want.
Before we get into this, I want to stress that as a paying subscriber, you have the option to share your goals for empowered (positive) accountability and free coaching within the Empowerment Zone.
Mindset blocks and limiting beliefs are huge reasons why people don’t ever achieve their goals. I can help you with that but I can only do that if you interact with me.
What if you don’t want to share your goals?
I get that. I don’t share all of my goals. What you can do is share in the comments below that you’ve got a goal. You could say I have 3 goals for February. Or you could say I have 1 financial goal, 1 business goal, 1 health goal and a family goal.
This way you can still get the Empowered Accountability. I’m not going to be yelling at you if you don’t do something you said you would do. That’s not empowering. Instead, I’ll check in with you, encourage you and help you if you have any blocks or struggles.
Okay, let’s get started.
January Progress And Achievements Review
What we’re looking to do is get the facts and celebrate achievements.
What goals did you complete?
Make sure that you celebrate them. Celebrating your goals is so important. You don’t need to throw a party every time you achieve a small goal, but it is important to acknowledge it.
It’s your “Well done” to yourself.
Try this. Keep an achievements journal. I love this. It forms a huge list in one place of all the things you’re achieving. You can add everything here and then highlight those big achievements.
It’s super motivating when you’re having an OFF day.
Have Milestone goals. I have a goal to reach 1000 subscribers to this newsletter, At 100 subscribers I celebrated.
Then I had a huge boost because I was able to import some subscribers from a previous newsletter. My next milestone goal is now 500 subscribers.
I’ll be doing a big song and dance when I reach it. I’ll be telling people about it and I’ll be buying myself a little treat. This might be a bunch of flowers, some nice chocolate or anything else I want to treat myself with.
TO-DO: Read through all of your January Goals and highlight or tick all the goals that you’ve achieved. Make it clear what you’ve achieved.
What about the goals that you didn’t achieve?
There are 4 things to look at when you haven’t achieved the goal.
Have you made good progress? If you have, it’s still a win.
You may need to make some adjustments or do some mindset work.
You may need to have a serious look at how much effort you’ve put into achieving the goal and readjust.
Check - Is the goal important enough to you? If it’s not, let it go and put your time and energy into a goal that is important to you.
REMINDER: I can help with any of the above. Just drop me a message in the comments.
Progress is still a win
I’m writing this newsletter on the 25th, so I still have some time to achieve more of my goals or make more progress. But, I want to share a progress win with you.
My milestone goal is 1000 Newsletter Subscribers. It’s my yearly goal but I want to get there as quickly as possible.
I set my January Subscriber goal as 200. This is an intention goal (something I want to achieve).
My action goal was to publish 2 Newsletters weekly (1 free and 1 for paying subscribers weekly).
What happened?
I’m sharing two stories about my results about my intentions goal because something awesome happened after writing the initial draft of this newsletter.
I wrote this on the morning of the 25th of January
At the time of writing this newsletter, I have 127 subscribers. So I haven’t yet achieved my goal of 200 subscribers. This is still a win. I haven’t achieved my goal but I have 127 subscribers. It’s not what I wanted but it’s still progress. That’s 28 new subscribers in January so far. I’m okay with this. I’m in the building momentum phase.
I also now have 3 publications recommending my Positive Mindset Newsletter which I’m so pleased about.
I definitely see this as a win.
