Well, on Monday I got bitten by a dog on my neck. It’s a long story that I won’t go into because it involves other people.
The dog is not a vicious dog, in fact, he’s very, very loving and gentle.
He was panicking about something that happened and was highly stressed.
The bite wasn’t in anger or a desire to hurt me. It was in fear and he was trying to alert me.
It wasn’t a gash, it was sore but it was a surface wound only.
He spent the rest of the day coming to check if I was okay and still loved him. I do.
Please note that this was not a random dog attack it was not in a public setting and I understood this was a rare but possible risk before being in the same room as him.
Gratitude: I was hugely grateful that it was me this happened to because I was able to deal with the situation in a very calm way with the best outcome for everyone involved.
I got the sicky bug
This was not at all unexpected. A lady I support has had the bug and I had spent a lot of time with her just before and afterwards.
I am not a brave get on with it kind of person when I’m sick.
I cried and wanted someone to take care of me and I was home alone.
Well, I had the dog and cat who did a good job at looking at me lovingly from time to time.
I’m thankfully over the worst now. I’m still feeling a little sorry for myself but I’m okay.
Grateful: I’m grateful that I got to support that lady when she was feeling poorly. And I’m grateful that it is passing quickly. And I’m grateful that I had the time to watch two Christmas films yesterday. I’m grateful for a nice warm house and my hot water bottle for comfort. And my dog and cat of course.
Even when things are not going great, I believe we can still find things to be grateful for and we can still add joy to our day.
Share your joy with me today, it’s contagious. What has brought joy to your day today?

December Joy Mindset And Energy Mix
Hello and welcome to this Joy Energy and Mindset Mix to celebrate December.
Hi Wendy!
Sorry to hear you're having a rough week! Let me share a little bit of joy with you!
You must know by now I've had to take off-farm employment as lunch-lady at my local elementary school. It's hard to leave the farm, but the kids (K-4th) are super cute and serve as a balm to my wounded pride, lol.
When I was leaving the building today, passing through the gymnasium on my way out, the kids involved in gym class ganged up on me for a group hug!🥰
Imagine, if you will, 8 or 10 1st graders all hugging on and fawning over you. I was almost knocked over by the force of their hugging and had to brace myself so neither I nor the kiddos got hurt.
It's enough to melt even the coldest hearts, and since I'm a big softee anyway, it just puts me to tears.😭🥰
Feel better soon, my friend! Sending love and good juju from Maine!🙌
