Can we really have balance in our life?

How’s your life balance going at the moment?
Hi, I hope you’ve had a really good start to the week.
Do you ever do that thing where you have a word of the year?
I’ve done it a few times. Not this year though.
Not for any particular reason. However, I’m having a word of the week this week. It may continue to become a word of the month.
For me, that word is balance.
I don’t really believe that we need to have complete balance in our life. You know, where we dedicate equal amounts of focus to all areas of our life.
I’ve mentioned in recent newsletters that I’ve been using the wheel of life on a weekly basis.
I’ve become aware that I’m not having as much switch-off time as I need.
When my son lived at home, I did make a point of switching off at certain times. We’d play a game, watch a film, chat…
What I’ve found has been happening more and more recently is this. If I’m at home and not sleeping, I’m pretty much always working.
I love my business but I am aware that I need to step away from it when I’m at home a little more. Do other things I enjoy.
I encourage you to think about your own life now.
Is there an area of your life you need to pay more attention to?
It could be more than one area.
